Extensive Practice

Latin can be a very challenging language for English-speakers to learn because every noun AND verb goes through a sort of conjugation. What's more, some words can have the same endings, yet have completely different meanings based on context. There is a myriad of verb endings, and it is important to be able to recognize which verb ending corresponds to each verb. There is no way to fully grasp this and be able to recognize the different word endings without lots of practice exercises. Most Latin books omit this extensive practice and assume mastery after a mere "memorization." This book and workbook allow the Latin student time and practice to grasp familiarity with the language and how it is actually used in context. Great resource for a student trying to learn the Latin language.

great workbook but i thought i was ordering the second edition - it turns out it's the first edition and that sucked cause i couldnt keep up with the class in terms of pages. but good workbook nonetheless. remember to check for the correct editions!!
