Dr. Luckritz Marquis is an emerging scholar who's keen scholarship and meticulous research makes this book a must read. A splendid book for scholars, students and those in the church.

Tiny Print, very dry, reads like a thesis to impress your professor.

I was so excited to get this book, and thought since it is one of the most expensive out there it must be great! I gave up on this book so many times but kept giving it a try. The author seems to try to use words not commonly found in the english language, maybe to impress readers that he is superior in knowledge with very big words? You will need a dictionary to comprehend this book.
I also thought it would trace Paul's life through all his travels but it does not. Mostly it is a theological review of 2 Corinthians and the mythology before and during Paul's Life. I have several books on Paul's life that are practical to read cover his travels much more in-depth that this book. I still can't understand why the price is so hi unless it too is to make it seem hi prices and big words are more valuable?
And I am not bashing this author or belittling him, just know that you are buying a thesis mainly on Greek mythology and some quotes from 2 Corinthians.
